The Graduate Program in Computer Science at CICESE offers both Master’s and PhD degrees with a strong emphasis on research in areas such as Human-Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Ubiquitous Computing. Our program is nationally and internationally recognized for its academic excellence and research impact.
All accepted students receive a CONAHCyT scholarship, allowing them to dedicate full time to their research and training without the burden of financial stress.
Master’s Program
To apply for the Master’s degree, candidates must:
- Submit a complete application form,
- Provide three letters of recommendation,
- Pass a general knowledge entrance exam in computer science.
This program is ideal for students seeking to strengthen their technical background and prepare for advanced research or industry careers.
PhD Program
PhD applicants are expected to demonstrate strong research potential and a clear academic trajectory. The admission process includes:
- A full research proposal relevant to our areas of specialization,
